PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

Most of this week I've found it easier to look in via latest activity, it's the only area where posts are updating correctly.

Using my android laptop I am unable to access the "View Map" function in Search CL section of the UK Holidays. When I click on the this it takes me to the Reviews of the CL.

However using my AppleMac I have no problem and the map opens out!

Anybody else experiencing this? It's been happening now for over a week.

Do us all a favour Bakers and report my post to Rowena will you please. I'd report yours only I'm not sure my text would appear and then it would be confusing.

The same thing is occurring on my I-pad (well OH's actually) so I've reported the above post, WN. I have to go down to the list of actions to get the map to appear.

Sorry Wherenext only just back on here. Thanks for reporting it Nellie, it matters not who does, just that it is!

In the great scheme of things it's not much, but just yet another issue with this website 😢

Today is the second anniversary of my introducing this thread. Do others find it as depressing as I do that despite this passage of time we are still beset by numerous errors on this website?

It suggests to me that the IT team lack the required competence and CAMC management simply do not care.

Personally I don't let it frustrate me, more important things to worry about! Whilst accepting it is far from perfect it doesn't prevent me from joining in with discussions, I can post photographs reasonably easily, I can contribute to the Story Section. I could be wrong but if some of the issues have not be solved after two years it seems to me that they never will be. Perhaps the software being used is just not capable of being put right in an economic way? That leaves three ways forward in my view, we soldier on with what we have, we abandon it and give up on it at the risk of taking away a useful resource from members or we encourage the Club to try something different, perhaps proper forum software which some of us have been suggesting from before day one!

In a way it's been useful to point up errors and faults so even if the actual set up is never going to work well due to technical limitations at least we can have a mumble and grumble....wink I say this as a patient pile of pumpkins. kiss
