Resurrection of Old Discussions

Has anybody managed to work out why old or even very old discussions suddenly reappear and because most contributors don't notice the original date new but often no longer relevant comments are made because of the time lag.

My own theory is that a new discussion has been started with the same title and the system cannot differentiate between the two and thus the problems start. I have tried to test this by searching to find duplicates even using different search engines but to no avail.

I know it's only another minor issue but I am sure some of you find it just as frustrating as me.

I saw something about Sunday departures in the letters section of a recent Club magazine. It was the same old thing. Somebody wrote that the Sunday departure time should be moved to 4 p.m. and another letter replied that all that person had to do was pay for an extra night!

We've heard it all before, over and over again!

I can't see any point in resurrecting Sunday departures. Everything that can possibly be said has already been said. There's nothing new to discuss on that subject. I think it was closed for that reason. The same may well apply to some of the other older discussions that were closed.

Let me be clear. My previous post about a rerun of Sunday Departures was a joke. The use of surprised was a clue.

I seem to remember it being closed due to a few unpleasant posts which is often the way.
