Sorry if this has been asked before and I've not seen it.

Is there a reason why unlike most other forums there appears to be no record of how many posts a user has made?

It was only a few moments ago that this thread jogged my memory about having a few Stars under my name before the Forum 'big change'.

Can't say I miss them but I can't help 'bragging' that I have a Gold Cup, Anorak and Poet Awards on one forum - so there!

You can also see in latest activity who has liked a post. smile

Brue, who are the 13 posters who 'liked' Merves OP in his 'thriving without 240v' in the 'caravanning cheaper' section?

those no doubt will have been spread out over time and finding thrm in the recent activity (even if it showed it) would be a chore, to say the least.

other forums keep a permanent record of likers against the 'liked' post, so in my example of Merves post, it would list the 13 likers, so he could tell at any time (and without having to use another search facility) who liked his post.

no need fo '+1' to tell him, the post itself will show it.

no idea, Rocky, merely explaining the difference in other forums where threads dont get cluttered with an extra post to show its been liked.

you just dont see '+1' posts on other forums...the '+1' is implicit with its recording against the 'liked' post.....it actually gives names of likers, not just a number.....

and with CT only having 10 posts per page (against 50 or even more on many forums), unneccary posts that lengthen the thread just cause more page scrolling, not good on a forum thats really slow.....

IMHO.....of course.

Personally I treat CT as a joke and not to be taken too seriously, I think thats why some use it like facebook.laughing Who likes who, how many posts they make or how many threads they start are a total irrelevance to me. It wouldn't make a jot of difference to me if there was a count.

As I said previously there are far more important issues with CT that need sorting.

I've said my bit, maybe the OP will respond? I'm happy to be able to track down my posts and reviews via my profile. "Likes" are just transitory responses that can be seen at the time of posting if needed.
