Marked as read

We seem to have lost the "Mark As Read" buttons. Am I the only one who doesn't want to trawl through every thread just to see if I have read the latest post? Individual post don't show as read even when I have read them either?

The thick plottens. I've just logged back in and one thread I was following said "2 new". There were actually 10 that I had not read.

I think I haver answered by own question. They are undoubtedly total, not even partial, buffoons.

The number of "new" posts bear absolutely no resemblance to the actual posts that have not been read. Yesterday it would appear that all posts were marked as read on exit. Now, even if you have read a post, it still shows up as a new unread one.The number of "new" posts bear absolutely no resemblance to the actual posts that have not been read. As I said in my previous post.

You sound more frustrated than me CY. It is a bit of a pig's ear but I will be a lot happier if they  let me/us know what is being done to correct matters

  • one a list of bug fixes being work on
  • two what enhancement are planned for CT

Peedee, i dont think this is the sort of useful info that is given out by CC.

We didnt even get a list of the 'new' fearures to ne delivered with this latest effort....and that was because there werent any....other than adding photos (to be prior edited for size) and videos (oddly, no size limit stipulated....)

no PM, navigation hopeless, missing non-migrated data, tiny amount of threads on a page, endless scrolling/paging etc, etc....

by providing a snag list, there will be something to measure expectations (and success) against....not a chance of this happening, im afraid....

i realise its early days but there seems to have been an almighty arrogance on the part of CC to deliver what they thought the forum users needed, yet missed out on the 'user requirements' phase, and the delivered 'item' also bypassed the 'user acceptance' phase....

im finding this whole shebang very hard work and have spent more time on MHfun and O&ALive.....shame...

Having returned to the site after a break of a few hours, I find that now, despite having logged in, there is no indication whatsoever of whether threads have new posts or not.

Good news - it suggests that something is being done

Bad news - They haven't yet worked out what it is they have to do

It would appear for the time being I shall have to rely on memory of when I last visited a thread and guess at the number of new posts.

Unread posts are back on my Macbook now. However, if you refresh the page, it does not update the unread posts as the old site did.
