Looks like the trolls are winning

Far to many barrack room lawyers and accountants on here now

& far too many members who think they are special 

Must admit that I try not to get involved with fractious debates anymore, I bite my tongue and give a like to the next post that I agree with. That way, I don't encourage those looking for an argument. There are a few more trolls about lately old and new. I also use other forums. As well as fun& trivia.....

The various debates don't seem to have the same value nowadays. It is possible to visit CT and not see anything of interest or worth posting a reply. Probably it has all been said before and a lot of subjects have been flogged to death. The other reason I suspect is that long term posters are running at purple star level  and to gain further advancement, if that is your thing, requires tens of thousands of points. A move from my current 5 reds requires 10,000 points and I cannot get excited about that.

Its a shadow of its former self when compared to the good old days of stimulating debate and friendly repartie. Sadly gone for ever,  as is many of members who made this possible.

Never mind, there are plenty of other Caravanning forums on the net for that sort of  debate.
