Welcome to all Dog lovers & generally Canine minded Folk. I have started this to enable a Thread to be used-in the Pet section with a title 'I love Dogs' so there will be no problems with attracting the right Posters, and the 'wrong Posters' give it a swerverCool. I am mainly a working Dog Lover, I have had-J/Russells, Retrievers, Lurchers. Currently have 2 White Cockapoo's. Mum & Daughter. Not my kind of Dogs(at first) the OH fell in love with the Breed a year after losing the Retriever. Now I couldn't imagine life without them. You either love Dogs or don't, if you do then life without them really is empty. I feel for the none Dog Folk, not knowing the joys of owning Dogs. But I'm not stupid enough to believe just because I love em everyone should. So if you would like to talk Canine, please be my guestSmile

Thank you H&T, it was very relaxing & enjoyable. Not all walks have much walking, some are quite a bit sitting & watchinglaughing

You are most welcomesmile

The Fox was beautiful & healthy, a deep chestnut colour on His back with a strong fluffy brush of a lighter hue. I reckon He availed Himself of the poorly Rabbits that was abundant.

It’s encouraging to know healthy specimens exist, even if it is at the expense of the poorly rabbits. Tis Nature's way.

Natural selection, the weak are culled. Plus it ensures we are not knee deep in dead animals. Even flies play a part in the big scheme of things. Mother Nature has an answer to everythingsmile

With have some pretty fine looking Urban Fox's here in London R2B,

There is one family of them that live under next doors shed and have a litter most years, this year Mum had 3 this spring /summer. Great to watch them playing and learning there survival skills from our bedroom window early morning. Some times they have a mouse they have caught and keep letting it go and catching it again. Mum and Dad tend to lay on the shed roofs and sun themselves during the day if its bright. Some of the sheds have foliage growing over then and they make themselves a nice comfy nest to doze in. They have no fear either and will often stand on my shed roof just looking down with contempt at my two Border Collies barking at them. And the Local cats just seem to co exist with them. I have observed them in the same garden just standing looking at each other. I have a large pond at the end of the garden and they often take the odd frog as a snack and I have lost fish to them as well.

We also have quite a large wild green parakeet population locally which is always a source of amazement to our visitors from other parts of the country.

Love your stories BTW, the bit about your dogs laying with you and you looking down at them is how I/we feel about our boy's. I know non dog people won't get it but as you know, it's so special.

Happy walking to you and your dogs and long may it continue.

Ian.

Thanks Milo, yes they’re a gift are our Dogs. There are Dog owners & Dog lovers. The Dog lovers see their beloved pets as an extension of themselves & ensure they neither let themselves Down nor us, Dog owners are the ones that let us all down with their lack of respect. You are proving that wildlife can live cheek by jowl with Humans if a bit of give & take is administeredsmile. On the whole when wildlife creates problems for Humans it’s the Humans that are at fault.
