I've been waiting for the water to warm up a little at my local fishery. I can't wait to cast the first rig of the new year. My local holds , Tench , Bream , Roach and Perch so theres plenty to go for, I catch on all types of bait including Maggots, Bread, Worm, Paste, Castor,Corn, and many more . I've been using a pole for the last 2 seasons but I really have'nt mastered it as yet.

Whats your favourite water ? what does it hold ? what fish are there? and what baits do you use? Oh and whats your best catch and what method do you use ?

Hostahousey, my OH has been busy sending out local club licences to people who want to start angling again. Lots of them have been contacting him via the club web site, it's all been done at a distance so most pay by paypal and OH sends out the licences and details. Some started off last week but there are a few rules to keep you safe, the recommended distance is 15 metres apart. Hope you can get out soon and enjoy your hobby.

We wondered that too, maybe it gives some the room to spread their kit out safely? One of our local ponds is limiting numbers to prevent people being too close.

The government's advice is  2mtr  so why 15mtrs  for fishing when the pegs are segregated anyway and usually over 2mtrs apart. Has Golf got the 15mtr ruling as well? Seems funny to me ,I think whoever stated this has got a little mixed up.

Been a couple of times .Yesterday bagged up with some good Bream, haven't seen anyone social distancing at 15 mtrs. All sticking to the 2mtr rule.

Brue ,...Had an email from Environment Agency stated the 15mtr rule for matches only. 2mtr rule for pleasure fishing. So why they didn't make it clear weeks ago .
