I can't see the original sticky so will start a new thread.  Saw nearly 30,000 knot on Breydon Water yesterday.  Great weekend at Minsmere, Otter, Kingfishers, Bitterns, lots of Marsh Harriers

For the last couple of day we have had a visit from a pair of Gold Crests, a lovely looking bird that is slightly smaller than a wren.

Sorry but not managed to get a picture yet.

Just been out to bring in some washing of the line, and found our local Parakeet making the most of the berries from next doors tree. Certainly makes a change from Pigeon's !  laughing

Hope he doesn't ask his London friends to join him, a friend of ours lives in a Parakeet area and it's so noisy! wink

A few years ago we stayed at Abbey Wood site. They have a small flock of them. You are definitely not going to be able to ignore them!

We have regular fly overs from Buzzards. This lunchtime whilst sitting at the table gazing out towards the bottom of the garden we saw a Buzzard sitting in one of the trees. He sat there for a while looking around, ignoring the small birds indulging in their usual feeding frenzy until he espied something in next doors garden and swooped down and out of sight.

Pity he didn't wait until the RSPB garden watch.

Thanks Helen, we've been watching them in our garden and they are so attractive to watch, they love the conifers but are very busy looking for insects on the flowering winter shrubs too.

Great photo, Helen. We get them very occasionally in our garden, but they are far too fast to get a photo. Beautiful birds.

A Great Spotted Woodpecker is spending a lot of time on one of our nut feeders, it's that flash of red that gives him away when he flies off. We are seeing increased numbers of all sorts of birds in our garden just now.
