Hi Everyone,

As you know Ash who originally set up this discussion has left RSBP to pursue his Master’s Degree.  I'd like to introduce myself - I'm Tania and I'll be providing the Club Together pages with an official RSPB presence.

I'll be looking to update you all with interesting conservation and wildlife stories and will be looking to answer any questions that you may have related to our work, our partnership with the Caravan and Motorhome Club or anything wildlife/nature related.

Very much looking forward to engaging with you all! smile

Welcome from me also Mr RSPB, happy to be a member also and look forward to any news titbits on offer. Perhaps Fisherman would go dangle his hook with the Community Manager if he has a 'beef'

Good to see the tie-in between CC and RSPB showing up here and it will be a pleasant contrast to some of the more moany threads.

We're members of both; didn't realise CC cards were valid for RSPB sites! Will look forward to more posts. Happy

I was pleased to see the RSPB connecting up, the story section contribution was the first bit I spotted yesterday. (I'm a member of both too.) It's good to have some much needed positive contributions on here. Happy

Although we technically can gain free entry to RSPB reserves by being members of the CC we still pay our membership to both organisations as both give us immense joy.

Ash, can you do me a favour though. Ask your reserve managers to stop maintenance work when we're due a visit. We'll let you have a timetable of prospective visits if it helps!Happy

Try across the bird nesting season (Mar - Aug), any maintenance work has to wait until after, you can thank the birds for that Cool

i think perhaps "Wherenext' saw my comment about Titchwell. They have just started erecting a fence to keep mammals away from Avocet nests. The work is planned to end this weekend. The freshwater lagoon was empty of birds when I went yesterday and 50 Avocets were huddled on the saltmarsh waiting to dive in and get the best spots.

Ash, I should have added 'I don't think you'll need to pull them off the job, as last I heard 'Wherenext' was having a good time at the Burton Mere Wetlands reserve.
