Should be interesting.  I hope England play well. ------ St George flags to the fore all over the country.  smile

2 - nil.   .Well played England.  If Sweden is the standard of the rest of the opposition ,  England will reach the final easily.

Apologies, Pickford, not Pickburn. Not over yet. Have to say, I fancy them more against Russia and Croatia rather than either France or Belgium.

Well there you go! The best performance so far and they can be confident against either Russia or Croatia. Gareth Southgate has certainly brought out the best of a young squad, but for me Ashley Young has been the real revelation. The oldest player in the squad and a winger turned full back; he's had an outstanding tournament, but then so have so many of the team.

So on to Wednesday .... here's hoping. smile

So far so good! I know Gareth has instilled a lot of loyalty in the squad by his own loyalty to them but I do wonder if the time has come to say enough is enough for Raheem Sterling - against a big defence like this surely Rashford or Welbeck would be better? But I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong in the next 45 minutes! smile

I just can't take to Stirling , to me he's too greedy and not a team player. Personally I'd like to see Rashford playing a lot more and not just coming on as a sub.

Trippier and Maguire are the revelations.

Yes, those too - and again you could nominate Jordan Pickford and Jesse Lingard. smile

I just think Ashley Young is a player whose best days seemed to have gone but has been transformed by Gareth and his backroom team. smile

But let's not squabble over individuals - the whole squad deserves every bit of praise.  smile

Yet another good team performance,  the only problem I have is my friend's from across the border are running out of teams to cheer on.😂😂
