Oh  WOW  !!  Close  to  a disqualification  in  the  Kierin !  But  judges,  after  analysis,  Video  checks  &  3/4  inch  of  nails  decree   its  a  RESTART !

And  Its Yet   ANOTHER  FOUL--UP    another  stop  &   another  wait 

3rd  start,  no  penalties  so  its  Race  On  !

And  a  Sixth  Gold  Medal  For  Jason  Kenny  !!

I was "shot" too, what a dramatic turn of events! Well done Team GB.

Nice to see the officials making the sensible decission to let everyone take part, once they realised they did not have sufficient measures in place to police the false start issue. No doubt in future Olympics the bike will have a camera looking across the track and also down, to see when it pulls off, that will make any infringements obvious.

Really enjoyed the cycling last night, but oh so nail biting.

Great results though, well done team GB.

The Brownlee's seem to be going well. Getting very exciting. Just passed the bell, could be another gold and silver. Hope they can keep it up, it looks ever so hot.

There's a full explanation on the BBC website about the difference between GB and UK etc. Northern Ireland athletes can choose which country to represent (GB or The  Republic).
