Well, 2016/17 gets under way this afternoon. For those of us who follow our favourite teams, what are your hopes/fears for this season?

After two consecutive promotions (and with virtually the last kick of the last game of last seson sealing it for us) I'm getting excited but realistic about Rovers' chances this season. It'd be nice to consolidate our place in league 1 and not have our fate decided on the last day of the season as it has been for the last three years.

Anyone else getting excited? (Non footie fans need not comment, Ian! Wink)

Oh no! I've just realised the season starts today - and we have three avid (very avid) Leicester fans on their way up the motorway. Should I unplug the TV and all devices?

Sorry but the season started last weekend. We can't all support a premiership club

You're talking to a non Football follower here; I only know the little I know from grandsons. As the nearest league club is at least 50 miles away I've never got involved. Iwas just amazed to find some non Olympic sport on the BBC website

You're better off being a non football follower. It's more pain than pleasure following my team, but for now they are one up againset the Toon (Newcastle)

Come on you Ull. Rubbish owners. No manager, no full first team and they beat the league champs.

funny old game!,,,,

After  a  win  &  a  draw,  The  Alex  are  8th  in  the  league  but  equal  on  points  with  all  above  them .  It  does  seem  strange  that  in  Division  2,  the  old  div  4  {or  Div  3  parts  N & S , }  there  are  only  two clubs  with  100%  records  ==  the  bottom  two  without  a  point  to  share  between  them  !

As  you  said  yesterday  bestboy,  'tis  funny  enough  for  the  Palladium  !!

Two wins and a draw the Terriers are joint top on points but lie third on goal difference. Big local derby this afternoon against the Tykes (Barnsley) 20,000 crowd of expexted UTT.

Great win for Town!

I worked in Huddersfield for 7 years, and still check their results. Met so many friends there.

Yes three valuable points takes us to the top of the table for now. A better start than we could have dreamed of. How long we can keep it up who knows
