I need to buy the wife something for Christmas ,do I,

1, get her a set a saucepans that we can both benefit from

2, some jewellery ,that only she will benefit from , or

3 , some new tools for the shed that she will throw back at me , but at least I would not have wasted my money, and I can benefit fromUndecidedSurprisedFrown

Write your comments here...I don't know about that, Rocky. It's taken years of training. I mean, she never, ever complains when I wake her up with a cup of tea. When she suggested joint bank accounts I agreed because when she eventually gets a job it will come in handy and she always accepts my surprise presents. She takes them off me, asks for the receipt (I'm sure it's in case there's something wrong with it) and gives me a peck on the cheek (must admit not too fond with the pat on the head). One of these days she'll wear that piece of jewellery, we're just waiting for the right day.

So you see where else would I find such a woman?

hi everyone pray do tell me what is wrong with" the wife" or" the missus" better than the old woman surely Don?

It looks like the Huskydog has put his paw in it again ,by calling his "wife" the wife ,which is what she is , as in "husband and wife", so ladies , what do we call you ??????

I'm cofused Sad

Write your comments here  Hi Husky, Did you ask the diswasher or the mircorwave what THEY would like for Christmas? I am guessing 'the wife' would indicate that you see 'the wife' as just another piece of replaceble property. I am sure you don't but being referred to as 'the' for me, is probably the most insulting term my husband could use for me and he knows it

We are no longer the property of men, therefore to refer to women as tho they were chattels is desperately insulting.

Oh come on lets stop this pc nonsense.

O.H, better half. Missus, little woman, etc etc they are just terms of endearment .

I have always spoken of my wife by her name.If someone is not sure who I am talking about they can ask.

I was looking for inspiration for a Christmas present when I heard Ertha Kitt singing  Santa Baby. I could not find any one selling a platinum mine.

OH seems pleased with her prezzie. Unfortunately it isn't the same car that we test drove but a lower spec model. Currently waiting for the car sales place to come back to me so I'm torn between keeping this one or returning her 'present' and starting again.
