What words don't you like?

I dislike the word Kid used in the context of childrenYell

Kids are  young goats, human beings have children

Back in the Day, where did that one come from.  What day do they mean, today, yesterday, last Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.  Irritating innit, oh lord, that's another one!

You 'was' doing instead of you 'were' doing. Really really gets my goat.

Also, references to seeing you next Tuesday: I find these totally repulsive but they seem to have slipped into everyday language (well, where I work anyway).

I have trouble with people pronouncing words containing 'th' as though they contained 'f'.

For example, "fings' instead of "things".

"I fought" instead of "I thought"

Lazyness in childhood going uncorrected, I suspect.......

Also, references to seeing you next Tuesday:

That one does make sense if it is used to mean the Tuesday after this Tuesday. [does not make much sense if today is a Tuesday - in which case substitute Wednesday.]

Guilty as charged, Moulesy.......even when you pointed it out I couldn't see what was wrong and had to check it elsewhere (where there was a spellchecker!).

Must have been my mis-spent yoof.......

So, this is literally such an awsome thread. Like, how do you come up with all these words you don't like - it's so cool.
