TG. I don't know why people leave trampolines unpegged. Our eldest daughter and partner found the neighbours trampoline on top of their car after a storm, the car was badly damaged.

Me neither brue, he didn't bother to move it last night it is still up against our fence. To be honest I bet he didn't even bother to look around the garden. They are a young couple really nice but they don't seem to have much commonsense frown still I suppose we all had to learn and start somewhere, might get the OH to go over and give it a move later on.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your Daughters car, no insurance not a good thing to have to deal with.

We've got snow, not much just a sprinkle the skies brightening up so with luck we won't be getting anymore. OH going up to Aberdeen in the morning to fetch back the motor home.

Milliehull, sorry to hear your washer isn't well, we had to replace ours not long ago so know how it feels.

Congratulations on your son's new job.

Manchester covers a large area, do you know in  which part he's going to live. There are a few CLs scattered around the environs so you'll have a choise of sites to use when you head up for a visit.

Thanks Nellie, sons and his girlfriend are looking for a place together, only just started looking so not sure which part of Manchester it will be yet.

My washing machine has died. .yell The engineer can't come until next Tuesday afternoon and even then they might not be able to repair it immediately, if at all.  It Is 8 years old - I see a big bill coming up. frown.  Luckily I am up to date with the washing at the moment as daughter's washing machine is also playing up.  I might have to ask DIL if I can take some washing over there at the weekend.

Glad you have got your XTrail repaired EasyT.  We have one which we find invaluable when towing. Great robust vehicle.

Sorry to hear your washing machine has packed up Millie,  sometimes it's not worth getting them repaired, think it depends on the age. I had to buy a new one, worked out cheaper. surprised

Had my tumble dryer modified as it was one of the ones that could burst into flames, it also had to have new parts including a drum, even the engineer said it would have cost Hot point less to give me a new one!

Not a bad morning, no work until this afternoon.  Just waiting for the rain and snow to arrive,  probably will start just as I have to walk to work!

OH has only just gone back to work after his chest infection, it hung around for over 3 weeks!

Just finished all the ironing, and enjoying five minutes catching up on here.☺

Thanks Tammy and Helen.  I have a feeling that we might have to get a new one.  It is 8 years old and will probably be very expensive to repair.  I am already investigating on the internet. I really can't manager without a washing machine for too long. I wonder why Hotpoint didn't just give you a new tumble dryer Helen. They didn't think that one through properly did they.

Millie, try ao.com for washing machines, I have had several appliances from them and always had good service. Prices are comparable too.

Glad your OH is feeling better Helen.  What a long time it has taken.  It is a very nasty bug that is around at the moment.

I am doing some odd jobs this morning and then we are off on a church visit and afternoon tea with the U3A to Easton on the Hill.  Hope the snow holds off.  Also don't want it to snow too heavily overnight or tomorrow morning as Mr H has his cataract op scheduled for 8.30am tomorrow.

Dropped my Kuga off today for a minor recall job on the heated screen washers. I've had the car six years & I didn't even know they were heated. Just managed the walk home before the rain set in.
