millie - I think I've found a foolproof way of doing it (well it worked for me).
I just right clicked on the photo, clicked on edit, then "resize" at the top of the page. Click on pixels and reduce - I had to do it be trial & error but reducing by about 50% seemed to work. If you then save the resize and right click, then go down to properties it'll tell you if you're under the 500 kb limit.
(There may well be an easier method though!)
Also, if you click on the photo of the dogs you can see a larger version!

Posted on 14/12/2016 14:54 by MethevenBesides your need to reduce file size to a max of 500 kB, you also need to resize to no more than 500 pixels wide so when the thumbnail is clicked on, the full photo will appear in the new window.
