One  tries  to  help  those  that  have  passed  comment

about  the  visibility  etc  on  here  and  all  you  get  is  moaners.

So  TATA  !!

Brian

Sorry you feel like that but you did canvas opinion and it seems I am not alone in my view so I am not sure how you suggest we are moaners. I suspect it depends which platform you are viewing the forum on but In Windows, on an iPad and my Android phone the text is perfectly viewable. If you have an issue with the forum you need to take that up with Rochelle and I am sure she will put it on the snagging list. Not sure its helpful to take unilateral action?

Well that'sChristmas over for another year, hope everyone had a lovely time and Santa brought you everything you wished for.

This year I got it right, even the tv didn't get switched on surprised all due to a jigsaw!, which took us 3 days to complete. Even the boys were hooked! Just kept the food and drink coming! smile

My cold eased up enough to cope over the period, but OH is back at the doctors today, me I'am back at work. frown

That's good to hear milliehull. Our son will be leaving around midday to travel back towards Peterborough, hoping that the fog we have will have cleared by then. We have very heavy frost ๐Ÿ˜ฎ but no sun so far. I've generously allowed the boys to take dog to park and pop to tesco today ๐Ÿ˜ƒ whilst I tidy round a bit and sort sons clean washing. He and his girlfriend are off to Oz and NZ Friday, although we've been twice this year I'm feeling very jealous ๐Ÿ˜ข.  We did manage to kept my mother until about 9pm and had a great couple of hours on Skype. First time mum's seen them all live since our daughter went nine years ago. Think she wishes she'd agreed to do before! We get to keep the dog until early Feb so let's hope that this weather continues as we always get the grotty walks in the wet ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. She's a real pal very preipetic she has spent long periods with us from very young. Wouldn't let him have a dog at 4 years old as didn't want to end up looking after it ๐Ÿ˜‰. He gets one at 24 they move here so puppy has company during the day to begin with. Soon after both do career change so she's with them, us or the girlfriend depending on what's happening. They've had her full time for two years and we still miss her like crazy so going to enjoy having her ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

Bright, sunny and cold here in Notts. Off for a walk in a bit at Clumber and to feed the ducks. Spent yesterday afternoon putting all our contacts into the new house phone we bought in the sales. If it works as it should, and when tested it did, any calls not in my contacts get sent straight to answer phone. So no more sales calls ๐Ÿ˜€and if it is anyone we have missed from our contacts, they can speak to the answer machine and we can add them later.

Good to hear you're feeling good better Helenandtrevor sorry about OH. Lots of it about and it seems really nasty.

Tammygirl glad you had nice time, shame about the food but at least there was some. It's nice to have home cooked isn't it? Funny how you can long for no cooking/cleaning/washing etc but are glad to get back to it. I think that's why we all enjoy caravanning/motorhome as almost best if all world's.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas ours was very quiet but lovely to have son and dog with us. Honoured to have mum come over first time she's visited for nearly five years ๐Ÿค. Looking forward to longer days.

Nice to read everyone's news this morning. I had a look back on the thread and it was quite a struggle to adapt to this new web site.

I'm not very good with new phones Steve, OH has had to set my new one up, it's still without phone numbers but the rest is working ok.

We're off to a lunch time drinks "do" in the village so can catch up with all the local news (and gossip...tongue-out)

Hope you all have a good day, at work or play.....smile

Could it be that as Malcolm lives in his caravan, he cannot keep his car(s) in his garage or on his driveway, so that is pushing the price up?

Also, with only a small NCD on his first car, he has not been given a good "starter discount" on the second car.

All that, added to needing business use, and not just what I would consider ordinary business use but being a delivery driver, is bound to push up the premiums.

They do however seem excessively high, could be Malcolm has some other previous claim that is still being held against him and did not have a full NCD before the bumper incident.

Prior to 2015, I was teaching overseas and so did not have a car or insurance in UK. As a result, I did not have any no claims bonus. Fast food delivery driver insurance for up to 36,000 miles per year doubled the premium. Now I have just one years no claims bonus but even with this the premium has gone up since last year.

Working 11 hours a day 7 days a week doing fast food deliveries where you have to go faster to ensure food is delivered hot to customers would be higher risk than normal business usage. The insurer must have taken that into account when quoting the premium. Given the circumstances, I doubt I could get a cheaper quote elsewhere because of the higher risk due to the type of work and increased usage.

It has been a cold, frosty start to the morning here too but at least the sun is in and out because there's a fair bit of cloud around.

Yesterday morning, it warmed up nicely in the awning and I was able to sit out in the relaxer but not warm enough today.

I did some shopping at Tesco yesterday and went for a drive along the sea front as well with the weather being so good. It was cold and frosty but with blue skies and sunshine.
