Happily  I've  thawed  out  after  my  stroll  round

Shackerley  Mere  this  lunch-time.  It  was  a  lot

like  a  cross  between  the  motorway  &/or  Crufts

Dog  Show  !!  There  were  mutts  everywhere  and

they  had  'minders'  in  approximately  equal  numbers,

and  all  of  them  greeting  everybody  &  just  strolling

to  scrape  off  an  illicit  pound  or  three  !

The  country  lanes  were  well  packed  with  cars  'cos

the  hunt  was  meeting  near  the  Greyhound  Pub,

but  everybody  was  playing  nicely  --  space  for  thro'

traffic,  no  gates  blocked  and  all  motors stopping

to  allow  each  horse  &  rider  plenty  of  room  to  pass.

All  in  all  it  was  a  fine  display  of  "Good  will  to

all  men"    innocent.  Hope  you  had  at  least  as  pleasant

an  experience  as  I,  on  this  brilliant  sunny  but  cold

Boxing  Day  Walk.

Biee  for  now  !

Just out of interest are you composing your posts in MS Word by any chance and pasting them into the forum reply box as they all appear double spaced and in bold?

Father in law came for lunch. He said he enjoyed it. Didn't stay long though, as he doesn't like driving in the dark.

Hi all,  we've arrived back safe and sound this lunch time, had a couple of hours kip as never managed to get any on the plane home. Drive up from Newcastle was good, lovely sunshine until the Borders then a snow shower or two, nothing to bad.

Just though I'd drop in to CT to say hello and hope you all had a lovely Christmas. First look at the new site and I'm managing to get around so far, I'm sure I have lots to catch up with.smile

I am sorry Brian but personally I don't find it any easier to read, in fact I find it more difficult to read. One problem is that it takes up a lot of space on the forum and in my view is totally unnecessary. My eyesight is not the best in the world but I can see normal posts perfectly clearly so don't need any supposed enhancements if you see what I mean.
