It's mild here too but not warm enough for that, Oneputt!

We watched Lady in the Van on BBC. It was on from 9 p.m. to 10.40 p.m. Did anyone else on here watch it? I was expecting a comedy so was rather disappointed in what seemed a depressing story of a homeless elderly lady living in squalor. I remember Maggie Smith in a far more entertaining role in the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Being Christmas Eve, I think I would have preferred something a bit more light hearted!

This morning we drove into Findon using the Smart Car to post a letter in the post box outside the post office. I was surprised that there was still some traffic on the Long Furlong road outside the campsite but much less than on normal days. It's the first time out in the car since finishing work on 23rd evening. Too tired to go out anywhere yesterday!

Christmas lunch is cooking as I type this and will be ready soon with  a pack of 12 pigs in blankets. The bread sauce is being made too and turkey gravy. For veg we have brussel sprouts, roast potatoes, roast parsnips and carrots. Sage and onion stuffing with the turkey too. I won't have anything to drink until tonight as we need to go out this afternoon to visit my cousin and collect our mail which means another drive in the Smart Car down  Long Furlong into Goring.

Have been to a Geocaching event in Colchester Castle Park this morning. Just a small picnic in the park with lots of Christmas Faye. Christmas with my family has been cancelled as everyone is ill with this flu like bug that is doing the rounds so we are going to in-laws instead. Merry Christmas everyone.

I've just woken up from an afternoon nap after feeling rather full from the Christmas lunch. We met the neighbours from the neighbouring caravan and they were cooking turkey crown for their Christmas lunch. We decided to leave the Christmas pudding until later this evening after we return from visiting our cousin. We've got Yule log and mince pies as well as plenty of assorted cheeses and biscuits. So plenty to be going on with for the next few days!
