Seasons greeting everyone , help yourself to a sweet smile

Don't mind if I do Husky, 😀.

All concerts successfully done and dusted.  Last but one practice done this evening, so just one practice and church services left.  Off to Asda to do some shopping soon - I always leave it to after midnight to avoid all the shoppers.  It means negotiating the shelf stacking staff, but I don't mind that.  They always seem in good humour at 1-2am..  😀😀😀

Totally exhausted. This past week has seen son's bowel blocked  leading to a blues and twos dash to the hospital. drips, ventilation, oxygen and antibiotics ensued. Looks like he might get out tomorrow if he passes the physio tests!

Christmas has pretty much passed us by as we have so wrapped up supporting him as he has special needs. Apart from the nurses who stuck a CD player full blast The only problem they only had one CD!

Oh no!  Sorry to hear about this Robsail.  Hope they manage to sort him soon.

So sorry to hear about your son robsail.  I do hope things are looking up for him today. Best wishes for Christmas.

I hope you are feeling better Bakers2 and that you had a good day yesterday with the right clothes. laughing

I hope you had a good birthday Goldie.  I love your cake.

Nice to hear from you Helen.  I hope you have a good Christmas with your family.

We went to a wonderful Christmas concert in the Cathedral last night.  The music and choirs were fabulous and it was great fun.  Only slightly spoiled by the fact that we drove home in absolutely torrential rain - the roads were awash. It is a lovely bright morning now though.

Robsail so sorry to hear about your son. Hope it all works out ok, that'll be the best Christmas present ever, dont worry about the material things! Best wishes for Christmas and a healthy 2019 for you and your family. I hope you manage some R&R for yourself. Don't forget the importance of who cares for the carer!!

After that I feel slightly ashamed to post that I felt fine yesterday and enjoyed a great day out. Yes I did manage the right clothes to wear, but took extra layers as scarf's and hats 😉, but it was a very mild windy day. Nice walk along Kensingston high street - packed yuck! Round a square with restrictive parking 😉😉 including diplomatic plates cars only 😯. Several Maserati Porsche and Lamborghini among the ordinary spaces! Glanced in an estate agents, as you have to, rents between £3,500 and £8,000 a week 😱😱. Then had a lovely couple of hours in the V&A. Then onto Kew arriving about 3/4 of an hour before our allocated time. Allowed in so almost 3 hours to wander. Very pretty and we enjoyed it. We have been to the NT abbey in Cambridge (name refuses to be recalled embarassed) and thought Kew was just bigger with planes. Bitterly disappointed outdoor plant sales not available as I wanted a winter sweet as posted by brue on another thread! Traffic was great in each leg of the journey even when heavy it was moving freely. Made good time coming back and was very surprised when I went into the conservatory about 30 minutes after we got in to find it was pouring!

Milliehull your concert sounds wonderful, shame about the journey home.

DSB we were surprised at the amount of cars in our Tesco as we got off the coach, limited parking times cos it's been abused!, about 10pm and that's a 24 hour store.

We still have fresh bits to do tomorrow or Monday. Off to take bits to mum, check on motorhome and call on friends to drop off card as we go around. Bright here.

Did the bedding first thing, washing machine has marked it all 😤😤😤. So redone and about to check it and hopefully give it a blow. Just 4 pieces didn't get marked!

Enjoy your day folks

I have always wondered if people go shopping at that time of night!!! Not for me as usually tucked up in bed before then. On Thursday we couldn't go to Waitrose in the morning so delayed it until about 4.30 in the afternoon. Seems to be a totally different crowd shopping then, pushing and shoving! Trying to have a chat to a former colleague was almost impossiblewink

I was out carol singing last night, don't usually do it but decided to join in the fray around the village, ended up in the pub, as usual. Didn't know that some houses put in special requests, anyway all happy with the results and collection. Good fun, croaky voice this morning.

Robsail I hope you and yours have a healthy and peaceful Christmas after the latest events. My best wishes to you.

Good luck with all the shopping everyone, we've got neighbours who go in at the last minute on Christmas Eve for the bargain food, my nerves wouldn't stand it! wink

Brue I really miss the village carol singing, we used to do it over about 3 nights.

Robsail hope your son recovers quickly.

Bright sunny day here in East Norfolk.  All shopping done, pressies wrapped so now just about ready for the fun and games.🎅🏻🌞🎅🏻

Robsail, I really hope that things turn better for you and your family. Best wishes. As B2 says, make sure you look after the carer as well.

After midnight shopping brought back a lovely memory of our elderly neighbour friend who sadly passed away this year. She used to play bridge at a club 2 evenings a week and always popped into our local Tesco about 11.30 at night to do her shopping, on the basis that she could park in the disabled spot right outside the door and there was always a member of staff willing to help her, both walking around the store and then loading the car, which would be left until the morning in the garage until yours truly unpacked for her. She was still doing this at 91. Her teenage neighbours used to moan about her coming home late at night.Lol.laughing

Picked up the last of the shopping from M&S this morning. Plenty of trolley rage going on but we were quite chilled and so everything went smoothly.
Cleaned the front windows before lunch. 30 minutes later a flying rat flew into the main window.yell About to go and clean it again.

We used to get Carol singers around from the village but even the Lions Santa truck doesn't come into the close these days, just someone with a tin for collection. Which reminds me that we haven't yet seen him this year.

It was a wonderful Birthday yesterday. After the arrival of the cake (previous post), things got better and better.OH and I had a lovely long relaxed lunch with an old friend and husband. We were born in the same hospital two days apart, met up at ballroom dancing lessons and then at High School. 70 years on and can talk about anything to each other.

While we were out our son transformed the wilderness under a front window into a place for me to sit and watch farm life go by.

Totally gobsmacked!

Then the arrival of younger son and family, and a celebratory meal next door.

By getting up at 4 am our daughter and family were here in time for breakfast.

Tonight we’re treating everyone to a meal at our favourite restaurant.

And if you were wondering about my husbands present - it’s on my wrist
