Predictably, we are still keeping busy at the "new" house.
The painting required meantime is now complete, even SIL has been painting! The new flooring in Callum's room is done and we are now working on hanging doors and fitting all the new oak facings and skirtings. Hopefully his room will be ready before they have to move in.
Next on the list is the main bedroom, we can at least lay the floor, do the new woodwork, and hang the wallpaper, even though the en suite bathroom is on hold. We have all the tiles etc, etc, but cannot do much until the leak from above in the pipe duct is dealt with.
The sale of the old house is apparently progressing, but still not confirmed, so it will be at least 2 or 3 weeks now till they, hopefully, move.
SIL brought home a cold from his school and has kindly shared it, so Callum, DD and OH have all been struck down, I seem to have mainly escaped. I do get colds but seem to throw them off quickly, unlike OH and DD, who have been miserable for days now.

Christmas I am going Christmas shopping to MK with daughter and eldest grand-daughter on Saturday - I just wish I had any idea what to get people. Plans? I am waiting to see if anyone suggests anything other than everyone coming to us.
I hope TG, Bakers2 and KjellNNs family feel better soon.

We had heavy rain through the night last night and again for most of the morning, on and off. It finally stopped around 12:30 so we headed out to Sudeley Castle, and did the full tour as we'd only seen some of it last time we visited in June. Now it's raining heavily again so it looks like another damp walk out. Hope it stops by the morning as we move on up to Shrewsbury to our next port of call.

PLease don't start the "Christmas Shopping Run" yet Milliehull -- I've got big number Birthdays before then, two in particular on Monday 12th so only five days away, and not even the faintest scraping of an idea . One of them is Aged Sisters 88th so I reckon it'll be a phial of some antibiotic or similar 'cos she's already got everything . { Come on, now -- she was around before the anti-b's and the bad jokes }
Seriously hope all those with sniffles, snuffles & aches & pains start showing vast improvement before too long.

Very cold wind but bright start but is now clouding over from the west as the tide goes out, now its raining
Just a reminder for all of us "more vunerable"and susceptible to colds remember, there is more chance of picking up any virus from door and grab handles so when useing public transport or out doing the seasonal shopping be aware !!!!!
Ps and remember not everyone washes their hands after going to the loo so grab handles in those places are very "unclean" BE CAREFULL OUT THERE

Beautiful bright and sunny morning. Thanks for the good wishes. Apart from a couple or three hours I spent the day in bed 😲😲 never heard a radio 4 programme all the way through! Up and showered this morning definitely better but not right so just pottering. No idea where it came from or why it hit so hard.
Hope others suffering are feeling brighter.
ABM you're so right about where you pick up germs and bugs. So many folks practice poor hygiene 😤😤.
My mum, 88 and slower these days, has finished her Christmas card writing. She sets herself a target of 5 a day to get through the hundred plus she sends! I bought them all for her. Mine? Naturally I've not thought about them yet 😂.
Goldie I hope you get a birthday treat. Start hinting LOUDLY.
Milliehull hope you get some time off over Christmas. Wish I could have mine altogether here but heyho! But maybe when the kids assume you can't do Christmas isn't so good. After my mum's stroke 8 years ago no one goes for anything other than a cuppa, although she manages very well. Every cloud has a silver lining 😉.
I don't go Christmas shopping only thing I get is the hump! Random shopping for everything these days and that often includes food 😂😂.
Enjoy your day folks. I'm going to sit in the sunny conservatory and read the latest book in the Shardlake series if I can concentrate for long enough 😉.

Rain overnight and again this morning, still cloudy but brighter.
Cold and sore throat still no better today so have given in and resorted to some tablets, can't suck anymore sore throat lozenges as my tongue is now sore other than that I don't feel too bad.
OH now finished next door neighbours door canopy, just needs a hand to lift it and put it into place so BIL coming out to help.
If it stays dry I might just go out to the greenhouse and pot up a few cuttings I took a while ago, they have now rooted so time to pot up. I've also got loads of bulbs that i lifted from under bushes, I will put into pots until the Spring to see where the gaps are.
Still quite mild up here so garden is still looking good, lots of leaves still on most bushes and trees.
