Kj. Thanks for your good wishes for the move and I hope all your DIY efforts are a success!

TDA. Although I put on the link I couldn't get into the details so I'm not sure what it would be like for your lab. You might manage a short stroll?

Hope TrikyP isn't collapsed in a heap somewhere? laughing

I am enjoying having a few quieter days to do various things at home, booked to see the gardener, Adam Frost on Monday, giving a talk at the Yeovil Literary Festival. We saw Monty Don't last year.

Glad to hear your reassurances about the weather, M. We are staying at the C&CC site for a few days. Planning on stopping off at Stonehenge on the way up as we are passing it. Haven't been there since I was a kid.

Have a wonderful time, we were there recently, lovely site, and with age concession a good price.  A lovely walk along the canal to Devizes.

Good choice; it's a lovely site. Straight out on to the towpath and there's Devizes in one direction (Wadworth's brewery is worth a visit if you haven't been before) and in the other direction, a very good pub, The Barge at Seend Cleeve. 3 Magpies on the corner just outside the site is OK for basic pub grub and can recommend The Lamb on the Strand not too far away for a special meal.

It's very underated area, IMHO, with tourist hotspots like Lacock, Castle Combe and Corsham all within easy reach. smile

And a nice canalside pub if you walk the other way. The Barge. Not far from the campsite either.

"Like minds ..."! wink

We do seem a bit obsessed with pubs though, wonder why that is? laughing
