Lime tree blossom is lovely, we had one in our school yard when I was small, big enough to play games round the trunk. It has been nice reading everyone's news, you are all so busy doing different things. We are on tenterhooks at the moment as daughter number two has put in an offer on her first house (a tiny cottage that needs some work.) We have to wait til Monday....buying houses is so fraught!! We are also on the count down to our open garden, I have never done so much titivating, ever!
Fingers crossed for your daughter fraught business in this country .
Brave to open your garden I have so far managed to dodge it I know I'd get in a right stew! That said I'm happy to view others gardens and love some of their ideas! I always think gardeners are nice people ?

Good luck with your open garden Brue, I bet it looks wonderful.
Hope your daughter gets her house, it can be a very stressful time.

Thanks all, especially the good wishes for the house purchase. Just now I'm on a sort of daily bindweed patrol, it seems to have gone mad this year, it's had so much rain to help it along.
I wonder if David/DSB and co got off on their holiday? Hope they did and are having a good time.
Hope you all have a good weekend....I'll let you know how we get on, wondering if I'll forget all the plant names, someone's bound to ask something I can't answer.

Huh our home phone line has been broken since last Friday or Saturday first date for engineer to call 4 July, pain but just using mobile. Went off for breast screening after meeting friend for lunch, was ten minutes early, they took my name and asked me to confirm my contact phone number. Oh says I 'it's out of action' 'that explains a lot' came the reply. We have tried to contact you - equipment breakdown . Well send you appointment once repaired. No says I won't be around til end of September, 'I'll note this and hope it's picked up by admin its all computer generated'. I said that'll be a total waste and I won't be able to cancel. 'Never mind'.
No wonder NHS is in amuddle . Maybe we knowothet computer systems that agent flexible

We visited Bodmin Jail today was very interesting a good tourist attraction. We then went to the Jamaica Inn for a drink. What a lovely place full of history we were going to have a meal there but a chip van visits the site tonight so we are going to wait and give that a try

Better day weather wise today, so managed to do some work in the garden. Filled two brown bins with cuttings from the Leylandii between our garden and next door's. Dry walks with Flyte morning and afternoon, but it looks as if It will be full waterproofs
again tonight as it's bucketting down at the moment.

We've been getting ready to go away for our first trip of the year - so exited but a bit apprehensive too. I tore cartilage in my hip earlier this year and getting comfy at night can get a bit of a pain - quite literally Having a weekend in Nottingham to give the caravan bed a trial run and to catch up with family then on up to North Yorkshire if all goes well. Brue - if we had been here for the weekend we would have come to see your garden! I love open gardens - we have one regularly in our village.

Had earmarked today to wash our motorhome after watching the forecast - dry and sunny. Its raining!!!! . Its filthy with nice green bits and black streaks too - unique . Got a price for 'hand wash' very reasonable BUT they use a pressure washer to rinse off. We have no damp issues, fingers crossed so not going to risk. Hate having to re-gear my day takes a lot to get ourselves in the right frame of mind to tackle vehicle washing in the first place
