Spending a few days in Wales, I can't help but notice the sheer number of trailers, mostly Ifor Williams, without number plates!! Many of the remainder have non matching plates.

  Different rules over here?

Ifor Williams of Corwen in North Wales, probably the largest manufacturer of light agricultural trailers in the UK. Usually towed by a variety of 4x4 vehicles. Generally containing sheep and having no number plates, lights and tailgate tied up with binder twine. As common as red kites here in Wales.

I think I'm right in saying that the same numberplate rules don't apply to agricultural vehicles and trailers. Perhaps someone like Goldie will know the full story.

Write your comments here... you don't have to clean the roads, just your number plate once a year.
