Spending a few days in Wales, I can't help but notice the sheer number of trailers, mostly Ifor Williams, without number plates!! Many of the remainder have non matching plates.

  Different rules over here?

Yep !! they are all breaking the rules / law.  but hey ! Who cares there's no traffic police to enforce them , and of course rules were made to be broken Surprised

If any one goes to Sutton on sea cc site when the "fisher folk"from Hull & Grimsby hold their tennis tournement,   it is very unusual for any number plates to match the towing vehiclesCool

'Welsh Trailers' - are they not adverts for forthcoming programmes on SC4?

You lot stick to your rules and we will to ours.  Towing vehicles also probably usng red diesel, but who cares and when did you last see a copper out there anywhere enforcing any law.

Brunstroms crew used to be around, following up on motorists.

Its not only the Welsh, but I notice, quite often, that foreign lorries don't have matching number plates, and they come through customsUndecided

They don't have to, cabs and trailer are registered separately in Europe.
