Thanks DD - I'm a Plusnet customer and although my connection is OK, this might explain why an email sent to me at 0950 yesterday didn't arrive until 1610 - and an email sent twice - first on the 14th and then repeated yesterday is still out there in the ether somewhere!

This is where CT comes into its own. I thought it was just our connection. Rebooted the hub this morning which seemed to improve it . Then every thing slowed up when I was trying to buy something. Seems OK now. Went onto the BT website didn't see any info re problems, but perhaps I missed it.

Looks like there are problems again. Although very site specific. BT's own site very slow to get and nothing mentioned. CC impossible to load, although fine on 3G. Met office loaded quickly and works well. I assume it is a specific server that is at fault.

Just found a report from Sky News saying they experienced problems with an Internet site in London yesterday, but the problem was sorted out. Does not seem so to me, having to use CT on 3G because it will not load. However, the aerial photos in Google load as fast as ever. Very Strange.

Just checked the Plusnet website - here is the message posted this morning, under Service Status:
We’re sorry that some customers are having problems connecting to some internet services this morning.
One of our internet connection partners in the docklands has suffered a substantial power failure. This is affecting BT and other providers.
We are redirecting traffic to reduce the impact on customers. Engineers are on site and are fixing the problem.
Kind Regards,
Customer Support
