Hi,

I am off to Hospital tomorrow morning, have to be there by 08.00 early morning start to have a complete Hip Replacement on my left hip. not worried about it but cannot sleep on my back not looking forward to that otherwise can't wait to get it done and be able to walk better than i can now. Hoping to be able to drive after 2-3 weeks or sooner as i have a auto 4x4 so no problems with the left leg. Anybody had this operation would like to know your stories. Will post on here sometime tomorrow late afternoon or early evening.

I have leather seats and as David says it is so much easier to move on the seats. I watched every hour of the clock last night it was the worst night i have had since leaving hospital, that must be a good sign can only get better from now. Looking forward to having the clips removed on Monday with the district nurse hope she is very carefull taking them out. The dreaded stairs is easy, going down is harder then going up but still easy. Haven't been out much due to the weather walking around the house is 3-4 steps then there is a sofa to go around. Hoping to go out on the pavement today aiming for around 100yards then back.

Did the walk 150yards it was great to go out. The white stocking or socks which ever you call them are on for 6 week's until my appointment on the 18th March most horrible things to wear.
