Pro's and con's for buying an electric vehicle

After reading the posts, I don't think the EV is suitable for me. They are advertised as an Urban vehicle, which rules me out.

I am sure that city / large town dwellers, where the air is most polluted will welcome them.

On the YouTube clip I enjoyed seeing the carbon fibre being woven, I vaguely thought....we have a woven car. wink

I've enjoyed hearing people's comments, I knew some wag would respond to the hemp in the door. laughing

Whatever happens it's a good to hear different views. Happy motoring everyone. smile

By the way, Nav, what would happen if your own car came to a standstill and nothing worked?

Depress clutch, put gears in neutral, steer to a safe(er) spot.

There's no clutch, Navigateur, it's automatic!

Moved this from the pointless page.

They get £21,500 for the successful sale of the Smart Electric regardless of who pays. That is what is relevant to them and their business!

So who is paying for your car?

And do you think that as you or any other owners are  good customers that they will let them al  have free electricity and open late in the evenings.

The car is being paid for through a PCP finance agreement, plus government subsidy and a deposit from myself.

No, Malcolm.  The question was about MY car, not an electric vehicle.

So who's paying the PCP, I am confused because you said that in 4 years you will hand the car back and walk away.
