i have been thinking of changing my Avatar , Now the dilemmer i have is i want to change it to a Golly .. i have tried but it has not worked reasons i think

1 - deamed as possibly racest ? but my love of robinsons strawberry jam .

2 - the club think it may be racest ?

3 - the flipping thing will not load ?

would i be able to use it ? or should i just stick with the one i have now ?

what does everyone think ? Undecided

hello everyone , Rowena has pointed out that the club have had some complaints regard my Avatar , so due to this i am changing it so as not to course offence .

Oh, Golly Gosh. Funny how those that have made RO ask you to revert to your original avatar have not had the face to post on here and complain directly to you. I thought the change looked great.

So when do the complainers get to have precedent over the members who like it. Everyone on this thread has had a positive comment so why are these members views overlooked? How many complaints did it take to get Ro to ask Golly to change and when does the CC start taking notice? One, two or dozens?

Thought I had better mention that it wasn't me who complained golly!  I loved it, it took me back to my childhood. Smile

I have a golly on a self in the front room and also a wooden golly in one of the bedrooms. I am surprised that the regular posters on here didn't think that it wouldn't be reported, you should all realise that it happens a lot on here, also it's not fair to say it was someone that hadn't posted on this thread, it could well have been a posters that posted on here, don't discount anything on this site.

thanks everyone for the support but for the sake of keeping the piece i removed it sadly .i am thinking of buying on and cabletieing it to my front grille , like i did a knitted policeman a few short years ago , i did not get a single complaint over that not even pulled over by the police . and at slow speed in Scotland i got a wave from the local bobby .

Put a picture of a jar of Robinson's marmalade on as a protest, it will be  way above the small minded individuals intellectual capabilities of comprehension. :-)

Golly, you have nothing to reproach yourself about, you have done as you have been asked to do, it's the small minded little people who should be apologising not you. Those posters that find it offensive should not look at it if they didnt like it.
