Have decided to start a new thread so not to take over the what your doing discussion.

The question / discussion is the benefit of living in a caravan on a club site and moving every 21 days to living in a brick built solid home.

For me apart from the investment angle is -Holidays away in the van, if you lived in one then it's no longer a mobile holiday home.

What do others think.

Sorry but I think I said I wasn't concerned about MM's financial situation.

I was concerned about his wife though.

Very interesting reading the different comments in this thread. it seems to me some of the posters are quite happy to add criticism/ their take on a post in this and various other  threads they don't agree with, but when others post their own personal take on what is being discussed they  suddenly take to the moral high ground, In this post the OP chooses to be very open about his personal circumstances, his free choice? but to start accusing others  of being out of order is  just two faced in my book.

Just saying it as I see it. tongue-out

Wearing my Tin hat now tongue-out

TW the CM is aware of this subject. I asked for help recently unfortunately my action brought a torrent of abuse from MM. We have also had guidance from a moderator. This thread was started to avoid the other social thread becoming overloaded on one subject. I would prefer to leave it to the mods and CM as a judgement call. The suggestion to resist responding is still valid IMHO.

So are you saying you think it’s wrong to report offensive posts?

The CM may well be aware of the subject in general but we are talking here about certain posts which are way out of order. You know full well that action is sometimes only taken by the CM when the weight of reports demands that she acts. Part of management's job is to enforce the T&Cs with due regard to the effect on all members.

Believing that an issue is in hand does not negate our role in acting responsibly by bringing particular posts to the CM's attention. To do otherwise implies that we have no problem with such posts.

Log burner glowing, wind howling outside just comfy in my recliner.  Thinking about the people in Hemsby who may lose their homes in the easterly gales.

Looking at your situation Huskydog, it comes to my mind that you are still having to work hard running a business and having less time therefore to pursue other interests. If you were to sell up everything and retire, you would have a huge amount of cash savings in the bank that could be used to enjoy your retirement, have the latest model towcar of the year and the latest models of more spacious 8 ft. wide caravans that are now on the market. All of this could be purchased just using a proportion of that cash in the bank and then you've got the lovely life ahead of you that we are enjoying now!

It seems to me that Malc is always wanting the biggest and latest of everything rather than be happy with what he has. If he has been like this all his life then you and I can see why he has always had problems living within his means.

Never mind if he does become homeless he could always go and live in his brother's B&B, it must do good business for him to subsidise Malc every month.

Many thanks for closing the discussion David.

Having reviewed the discussion it seems that people have had the opportunity to express their views and opinions. There have been a few comments that have been reported to us that contravene the Community Guidelines and as such I feel that it is best to leave this discussion closed for the moment. Thanks to those who have contributed constructively. I would politely ask that this conversation is not carried over to other discussions but we can review and re-open if the need arises. Thanks everyone for their understanding.
