it might be because of Xmas ect.  but has anyone else noticed , it's very quiet on here ,   Certainly a lot less posting,  since the new site format , so is it Xmas , or because there's No more stars ,🌟 ? 🤔

Can't say I was bothered wether the "stars" stayed or went ( which they have) ,but I will still post the same amount ,so it's made no difference to me

But it would be good if we knew if a member was new or a casual poster , perhaps by a post count .......

People will post when there is a halfway functional site upon which to do it. Whether there will still be sufficient visitors remaining to do so is debatable. I am in the throes of compiling a missive to the CEO. Depending on the response, my future here may be short-lived.

It's difficult to know how to pitch a reply at times so maybe a 'Member since.......'  date or similar would help.

Exactly TW, would I would not like to do when answering if give the impression that I'm teaching " grandma to suck eggs"  ,if they are a " regular" that's not a problem ,but if it is a casual poster ,we might be giving them that feeling

Spot on TW, not the amount of posts but the length of time with CT would be helpful.

The number of years as a member of the CC would not show the total years I have been caravaning, due to lapse in membership some years ago.

i think Husky might have been referring to length of 'service' on the forum, not in the club.undecided

...hence the reference to 'casual poster'...

yes, we all know youre a 'dyed in the wool' CC lifer, but that might be of little use in certain areas of the forum....

Thankfully, and perhaps because the infant school star system is discontinued there seem to be far fewer of those posts with work related drivel.

I haven't been posting about work since 23rd December for the simple reason that I'm not due back to work until 19th January. The office was closed for three days over Christmas and I've been on holiday ever since. When I do get back to work, I'll be spending 11 hours a day, 7 days a week there. So if I don't post about work, being the major part of my day, I won't have anything to post about at all!
