Just to let you know that our daughter in law, Emma had a little girl last night: Marcy Eve. All are well, but it was a bit dramatic.

Carol went down to look after Ella (grandaughter 1) at about 10pm. Tom and Emma set off for the hospital at about 10.15pm. Apparently, the baby was born at about 10.30pm in the car somewhere between Polesworth and Nuneaton. Tom had to deliver the baby himself - then they sent for the ambulance. All is fine now. You hear of these things happening but you never expect them to happen to you.

Marcy Eve, 7lb 1oz. Born 13th March in a Nissan Micra!

I hope they apologised David.wink

ABM.  I used to work on the reception/ante natal clinic desk at our maternity unit and no it's not entirely unusual for a baby to be born in the back of a car - sometimes in our car park.surprised  We were well practised in sending an alarm call to the delivery suit and getting the porters to rush out with screens to put round the car for some privacy.laughing

 Thanks Jacci.

P.S. Have a word with Ro or Rochelle - shouldn't you be labelled as a staff member?

Thanks Ruby.  It's certainly been one of those weeks.  Tom and Emma (the parents) only moved into their new house last week.  Carol (and Anna) has been taking stuff from their old (rented) house to the tip today while I have had a practice this morning and paperwork this afternoon.  Lizzie goes to the vet tomorrow to have a saliva gland removed.  It's all go...

Give a listen to the interview Emma gave to HeartFm after her experience giving birth in the car!!!  They are trying to find the lady passer-by who helped them that night.

See here: (Hope this works by clicking on the http bit - when you get to the page, the interview is towards the bottom of the Web page and the audio is in the box shaped like a heart.....)  Quoted from the Facebook link...

"PLEASE SHARE! Do you know the incredible person that helped our listener Emma, whilst she gave birth at the roadside? http://bit.ly/2odzUyg

Thanks for the link lovely interview. Your daughter in law does sound incredibly relaxed about it all. I do hope they find the lady. Who'll replace the coat do you reckon? Bank of mum and dad 😂😂
