Crowded roads

I have just been reading how crowded UK roads are (as if we did not know)a survey of EU roads with the most congested"pinch points" where speeds are less than 35% of road speed,

1 UK 20,000

2 Germany,8517Undecided

3 Italy 5000

Top three UK

1 M25 junc 15 M4 to junc 16 M40

2 Edinburgh By pass

3 Glasgow A8/M8 junc

Well, of course, in Hertfordshire, one would not travel via M25 and the Heathrow, M4 and M40 area,

Try it some time.!

A!so an ex 'Herts' guy may I ask how things are in Bishops Stortford, Welwyn, Harlow, Ware, Cheshunt, Broxbourne, Stevanage and Watford? 

Write your comments here...Im ex Herts too, but now seldom venture much further South than Milton Keynes (if i can help it !)

I remember before the M1 had a 70 mph limit, and once did 120mph through the concrete embankments at Dunstable, Nurenburgring eat your heart out!   (only the once mind !)

I once did 130mph on the M62 but that was before I saw the light ................................. a blue flashing one in the rear view. Happy

If they hadn't sorted out the M6/A14/M1 junction just recently, that would definitely be on the list!!
