Just watching tonight's briefing from No 10. Priti Patel is struggling a bit but the copper is talking a lot of sense. He made light work of the question "what is local".

I missed it.  What was the definition he gave?

Totally agree about the buzz. I'm just back from a bike ride (all within 5 miles from home) the first this year. A beautiful sunny cold morning and I feel so such better physically and mentally and I'm really amazed at the difference it has made.

Good to hear you are back out. You have proper got the bug! OH has done some big rides pre lock down, but a friend of a friend came off very badly last week, serious injuries, so OH is erring on side of caution at the moment (road cyclist). Luckily all set up on virtual system up in attic. He rode Skipton to Kettlewell yesterday, weather was nice😂

This whole latest Boris story could so simply have been avoided by saying in the first place that he had cycled from Downing Street as we are now being told. Why not simply say that from the outset? undecided

Probably because it was out there in the media well before those at the PM's office got wind of it! I mean they are going to ask his press office what the true story is before they publish what looks like a good way to kick someone in power, aren't they?undecided

I am sure I will be in a minority  of one  but I would be happier  if he was at home and working to do his best  to ameliorate this disaster much if which is of his making, instead  of fooling about on his bike.

He’d do more good being out on his bike & leave the scientists to make the decisions, if they had been we’d not be where we are right now🤷🏻‍♂️

Paraphrasing he said it is impracticable for a distance to be stated in law. It is dependant on circumstances and common sense.

Glad to see that most of the major supermarkets are now saying they will deny entry to shoppers who do not wear face masks unless they are medically exempt.

Just need the two German brands to follow suit.

Perhaps there's an employment opportunity for those burly bouncers laid off from night clubs/ discos.

Its a well known fact that some individuals are very poor at estimating how long something might be..........😉🤪
