With regard to NZ, Clive James described it as a country of 50 million sheep, 10 million of whom think they are human. Aussie rivalry to the fore.

He had a good sense of humour but his maths was rubbish laughing

Is it me or are we getting just too soft in this country? Reports in the news that car parks in Snowdonia are blocked with so many visitors. Some of these have travelled from Kent and Southampton to walk! The Wardens are trying to deal with it and people are being advised. Well if they don't know by now that they should not be driving from a tier 4 area to Wales to walk they never will. The police should be there giving the likes of these idiots an immediate fine. I suppose the problem is people are being 'advised' not to travel from tier 4. Unbelievable that parties were being held over New Year will the fines issued ever be paid. I am getting old, we used to do as we were told. I believe it starts in some homes and schools, often no respect. The fact that sometimes paramedics are having their vehicles vandalised while they are treating people is a sure sign that things are not right.

DEBSC I find it unbelievable too. It seems like madness would folk consider it a day trip from Kent to Wales for a walk at other times?

Sadly I can't really see things 'improving' with folks behaviour whilst we get so many mixed/weak messages from those in charge. How many changes have there been since Christmas alone? I think its slipped too far now and we dont have the resources to enforce even if it was made illegal. Poor army seems go be called in for so much at the mo I'm wondering if they've divided each serving person in 2 😉.

I think the real clangers are in changes to vaccination times, we've only had it weeks and they've known there are manufacturing issues with things - in this case phials since the pandemic began and add in the on/off messages for schools....... I won't expand further.

I'm preparing myself for another 6 months minimum of toughest lockdown and hoping to be proved wrong......

There is graffiti appearing around our city staying police state. Will the next thing be riots? 😱😱

I'm normally a glass half full sort but don't want to dwell on issues too much at the mo. Doing all I reasonably can to keep me and mine as safe as possible. And that's as much as I can control at the moment.

(Thanks David). I liked the easy way in which he explained the data Nellie.

Regarding "visitors" to Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons,  I did read one report of a transgressor having their car impounded at the scene - investing in a few thousand wheel clamps and insisting on fines being paid before releasing them might just focus the minds of those idiots!

As for the change in vaccination policy, it seems eminently sensible to me, moving forward, to extend the interval between doses if it means more can be vaccinated (just a pity that a certain ex PM seems to be being credited with the decision!). But for those old and vulnerable who have already had their first doses, I do think existing arrangements should be honoured - those folk have enough to worry about anyway without surgeries having the task of contacting them to explain why what they were expecting was now not the case.

It certainly needs something to concentrate their minds!

Yep I accept the principle of the change in vaccination programme, more through, the ex PM has been saying it for rather a long time..... BUT having stressed the importance to those who've already had the 1st dose and booked their 2nd, plus the time it will take to cancel them, then at the GP/Practice discretion seems a bit mad and hopefully they wont get lost in the system. I too think they should be  vaccinated and then they can have no more concerns over the vaccine at least.
