But throw them away/dispose of them responsibly. I'm fed up of seeing masks just apparently thrown down on roads and paths and they seem to be a magnet for the dogs too!  yell

Our Dora loves them and 2nd best discarded wipes. 😤😤🤢🤮. My dog outing bag, has treats, poo bags, masks, gloves in compartments and antibacterial gel hanging from the outside. I go through more gel than she does poo bags 🤣🤣.

A note to all those who use disposal masks CUT THE EAR ELASTICS PLEASE. Our dog groomer also works at the veterinary hospital and they've had lots of cases as in patients where the ear pieces become entangled if ingested. Also doesn't help the wildlife either. I'm sure no one reading this would be guilty of just dropping used anything!

A question to all those who have seen masks carelessly discarded - "Did you pick up or just simply walk on by?"

Posted on 22/12/2020 12:36

If I carried tongs or the like yes I’d do it but I ain’t picking up things like that-not a chance☹️

I pick up if I can and there's a bin not far way - plus I have gloves or antibacterial gel to hand. It makes me angry that folks cant do it themselves 😤😤.

Mind you at least 2 mornings in the last week I've driven to the local estate for a dog run ( the walk involves very busy roads)  and it appears folk have been to McDonald's, other takeaways available, parked up and eaten then opened the car door and put the wrappings on the ground before driving away. So what chance do we stand???

It may be of course that they have both been isolating. We know not

My OH and I have been Billy no mates throughout, as have son and DIL but we still aren't meeting up. Granted we are tier4 and they're tier2.  But if we weren't where we are I'd love to meet them even if only for an hour. 😢 But safety first.......

Normally Mikey, I tend to pick up any litter I see locally. But no way am I picking up some dirty so and so’s germ infested mask at the moment. Certainly not without a litter picker. I don’t let the dog get anywhere near either.

We have seen masks dropped on the floor here as well, also this morning in a small shop we saw a white painted branch with decorations on and about 6 new masks attached we think a reminder re wearing masks in the shop a bit different, whilst we were there the main street has been cordoned off due to the local truffle market this afternoon and saw quite a few non local vehicles hoping to get their truffles for xmas but everybody did have masks on and keeping their distant.

Similar to us in the main Bakers. Although we did manage a very socially distanced couple of short holidays back in September, early October.

Frankly it feels a bit like March again at the moment, with the huge plus though of knowing that vaccines are out there and it’s just a question of being patient now. Mum is an hour away from her first jab, it’s been a long wait, but so pleased we did all we could to keep her safe, and as happy as we have been able to do. Fingers crossed we manage a couple more months of safety. 🤞

No way would I risk touching a contaminated mask!

I reported my find to the person on duty at the store entrance.

Irrelevant really - under the latest rules she should not be travelling to stay with her brother (in a different household) from tomorrow. frown
