Posted on 19/11/2018 12:52 by OneputtService stations will alter the technology where you have to put a card in the pump before drawing off fuel. In fact unmanned pumps already use this system.

Some Asda stations are unmanned and use this system,as does our local 24 hour petrol station. It is much easier than some continental stations that require pre payment where I use cash and sometimes have to go back to the till for a refund!!It stops the crooks who drive off without paying and does make sense.

Posted on 19/11/2018 12:37 by mickysfApparently this practise could change the way we buy fuel for our vehicles. I've never heard of it until today. Any thoughts?

Looks like there are those who think it should be a universal practise, may be even contributing to lower prices at the pumps! Well that's the suggestion!

We hardly ever go through the lane that you have to pay the cashier, why would we, its slower. Much prefer to drive up, pop in card and fill up.
We do this abroad and at home, only time we don't is if the access to the 24/7 lane is not suitable for the caravan to get through.
