Started a new thread , let the old one run out.

Unfortunately the title is missing a E and a M but you know what it means . Unless anyone knows how to alter the title

I remember the "Bedenham bang". It would seem to have been tempting providence by the Navy to subsequently have a vessel of the same name as events a year later in Gibraltar were to prove.

I remember reading the headlines when Elvis died, I was working on nightshift and someone nipped out for a very early morning paper. I couldn’t believe it at first.Don't cry

I remember when cinemas had only one screen. We drove past a cinema today and I asked my GS how many screens there were, he told me 8!!

Write your comments here...Not just one screen but a much bigger screen and much larger auditoriums.

Yes and with usherettes walking down the aisles selling ice-cream in the intermission.Smile

In those days you sometimes got two films, an A and a B film. Today we just get lots of B films.Undecided

I remember it well. I also remember the usherettes showing you to your seat with a torch. That cinema building in Worthing facing the sea front is still there. It's outside appearance hasn't changed since I was a child!
