Hi, everyone. we are spending 2 weeks in June on a site in France where gas barbecues are not allowed, and I normally use my Cadac all the time. I was thinking that maybe I might buy a small electric grill / griddle plate as an alternative. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for us to explore? Any advice would be welcome.  Thanks

"BARBECUE Tous les barbecues (électriques, gaz, charbon…) sont strictement interdits sur les emplacements nus (tentes, caravanes et camping car)."

Reading between the lines it is probably the process of barbecueing that they are against, possibly because others do not like the smell.  Is it a vegan campsite?

A sideways observation we use an induction hob for cooking quick to heat, quick to cool, (some rings take ages to cool) also the heat / current is easily controlled (unlike some on to heat / off to cool at full current ). So on French sites with low amp supplies the hob is still useable.
