Well the title says it all I hope. I'd like to cook homemade soups while caravanning. Did try mashing the cooked vegs etc with a potato masher... no good. Hence the question does anyone know of any decent and affordably priced blenders on the market? We also prefer to stay on CL sites with no EHU btw just to make it more difficult!

Can't offer any suggestions Pat. I carry a small hand blender (electric) in the van and am careful about what's switched on at any one time.
Would it be worth considering making your soups in batches at home, freezing them, and taking them in the caravan freezer box? Just a thought.

Thanks for that thought. Yes I have considered this as an option and may well do it if all else fails. Having said that in the grand scheme of things it's not really the end of the world if I can't find anything.

Gosh I used to have one of these things years ago. Don't remember it being such a faff as the video indicated.Thanks for that will have a search.

Not sure why you can't use a mains powered unit as they only use about 180w (less than most van TV's) but if it has to be cordless how about:
