Well the title says it all I hope. I'd like to cook homemade soups while caravanning. Did try mashing the cooked vegs etc with a potato masher... no good. Hence the question does anyone know of any decent and affordably priced blenders on the market? We also prefer to stay on CL sites with no EHU btw just to make it more difficult!

Just to come in too late Pippah, We need a blender on our van as we have our Kefir everyday whizzed up with fruit and nuts and so we bought an electric hand blender from Asda- a George home- 600w. Runs through our inverter a treat and pulps everything I ask it to- apples. Pears. Dried figs banana, nuts of all descriptions. Soft fruit etc etc. Just a thought from another angle! (and if you don't know what Kefir is- do yourself and your gut a huge favour and find out!) See 'Do you want to live to 130' thread or look for Kefir on youtube

I do know what Kefir is - but I haven't managed to find any yet - I have been reading that one thing people with weight problems have in common is the percentage of bad gut flora - whereas the lucky people who can "eat anything and not gain weight" have 80% good gut bacteria.  I need to redress that balance!
