Good to see the return of the Winterwatch series and crew. Encouraging to witness the success of several rewilding projects like The Enerdale Arctic Char project along, from only a handful of these fish a decade ago to over a thousand today thanks to the vision and action of the folk concerned. Once again the usual entertaining and interesting facts abound regarding our natural countryside. Fabulous stuff I think you will agree!!

Personally I can put up with Michaela Strachan it's Chris Packham although very knowledgeable I find him very annoying. Packham's stepdaughter Megan McCubbin I think is an excellent young presenter and like Lolo Williams makes the program for me. When the Master retires David Attenborough, I hope Packham isn't chosen as his replacement.

Megan McCubbin is a consummate presenter for one so young. A breath of fresh air. Very knowledgable and learned in all things nature related and she buys into it heart and soul. I think Chris Packham should now move on, as Bill Oddie did. I know he is a thorn in the side of some but Packham’s talents is an could be better utilised and concentrated elsewhere. I’m sure he will continue to fight for what he and many others consider to be right.

One of the reasons I have a downer on Chris Packham is that he is critical of peoples photo's. The people don't pretend to be professional photographers they are responding to requests of what they have seen or unusual wildlife. If it was a Wildlife Photograph Competition I could understand his criticism, his views and remarks are enough to put people off sending the unusual photographs.

An attention seeker, using these onditions as excuses for his rantings.

A D he is in an prominent position. Therefore as far as I am concerned he should control some of his biting comments. I don't have either of his complaints, but can't find empathy for him.

Those of us who have A&A in the family see such folk as Chris Packham as inspirational and role models for their offspring and others to aspire too. Like so many with these conditions he does not always get it right but I’ve never seen or heard of him deliberately making cruel and crass comment directly aimed towards and to hurt an individual or performing dangerous and threatening acts towards them. Both have occurred frequently in CPs life and very recently too. Is it that they see his views, his character or his condition as a target for bullying? I hope not! These people, who do this though are truly despicable as their dangerous actions are borne only out of a simple disagreement with his perceptions of what he witnesses and believes in. Unfortunately they probably see the influence he has and the successful change agent he has become in his field as a threat. It is only fair to stress mind that such people are in a minority and probably act in cowardice more than anything.

However, I do think it is time for him to move on from ‘The Watches’ but probably not for the same reasons as some others. I just think it’s time for a fresh format and younger blood. I liked Bill Oddie and the old format too but things do need to remain organic and move forward. I’m sure CP will move on to use his knowledge, skills and influence with even more success in the future. Some of course will find this of concern but as long as they address these concerns about his views and comments in a fair, correct and legal way then so be it.
