What is a good film?

Thinking about watching films in the comfort of your home, where it's too easy, sometimes, to get distracted, I wondered how you'd rate a film's quality

having just watched 'Independence Day, resurgence' I realised I hadn't fallen asleep! So it must have been reasonably interesting.

sometimes we watch a film and it's so riveting you find it difficult to pause to even make a drink, (or other necessary activities)

So how do you rate a film's quality

Just off to get the new Star Trek film to watch this evening. When we first watched the revamp of the original series I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but, as long as you approach it without comparing it to the Shatner/Nimoy era, it's turning out to be a good series of films

Another of our favourite box sets that we take away with us abroad is North & South.

Box sets make great Christmas presents Wink must have a look to see which one I'd like next.

The film by which I judge whether or not another is a good film is The Cruel Sea.  Being a sad person, I have watched it so many times, I almost know the script off by heartWorried

Snorkers, good-oh! Excellent film.

All three new Star Trek films are on offer at the moment on iTunes.

TG, is that the North and South with Richard Armitage or the American series? Love the first one, not seen the other.

I have to confess to being a huge GoT fan, despite all the violence and sex. You never know who is going to pop up next, nor who is going to get bumped off! Surprised

Can recommend A Streetcar Named Bob. Wasn't sure what to expect due to the subject matter but an excellent film.

Write your comments here... what's it about.  ?    Bob

Classic British costume drama, based on Elizabeth Gaskell's novel. Very good. You start off hating the male character, but end up changing your mind....possibly!Happy

HappyThe last film that I actually went to the cinema was either Titanic or Schindlers List - whichever came out first
