Bose "Wave System"

I wasnt quite sure where to post this thread so if this is not the best place I'm sure that one of the Mods will move it!

But our 30 year old "Technics" music centre has finally been found a new home, and I'm looking for a suitable replacement.  It needs to be not too big, have outstanding sound quality, have a number of "Pre Set" stations and a CD player, even though the latter seems to be going the same way as the audio tape.

For me the one that fits the bill best is the Bose Wave system.  The problem is that word "Bill"-- it isn't cheap!

I'm sure someone on here has got one and I would like to hear their views.

Going for the Bose!  The DCOS wanted to do away with separate speakers etc & the Bose is nice & compact.

I know which side my bread is buttered on, and if the DCOS wants no speakers, then no speakers she will have. & That way I will get to choose the next TV we buy, because our 8 year old Panasonic is also showing signs of getting on a bit!
