Bose "Wave System"

We have some friends who have the Bose  wave speaker system that fits under the TV and we have a panasonic that does the same but we cannot note any difference in sound quality,it may not be the same as their sound systems

We have a Bose Soundtouch system. We have four wireless speakers (different sizes in different rooms). They are wireless. We don't have the big CD player one (which I understand can't play wirelessly via the other speakers). 

We have a lot of CD's and they are all copied to ITunes on the desktop PC (as well as downloads). From there they play through the wireless speakers. The sound is very good - especially from the larger speakers. We can have the same music everywhere or different in each room.

That's the positives.

The negatives? Automatic software updates that can cause  problems, esepcially if you have a non standard music library or network setup. Look at the user forum of the Bose website.

Would I buy again? Yes, definitley. And if you could stream the CD player to the rest of the speakers I would probably buy that as well. But I tell myself I don't really need it.

Maybe the type of music you play will influence your decision. I play an eclectic range, but mainly vocal (and very little classical).

And I still have the option of vinyl,tape or CD on ourPioneer setup.

We have a Bose Wave for radio and CD player. Also a Bose Solo for enhanced sound from the TV. Also a Bose Soundlink Mini speaker for use with the TV in the caravan and as a Bluetooth speaker. If any or all of them failed they would be replaced immediately, You have to pay for Quality.

We have a Bose Wave radio / CD player that we have at the bed side and use as an alarm.

The sound quality is superb.

I also like the way the sound builds up gradually when the radio alarm comes on, rather than a sudden burst of sound......very gentle 

We've had ours a good few years so it doesn't have DAB which I would like, but the new ones will have this.

We got ours from the Bose store at Designer Oulet near York. It was supposedly a 'refurbished' one, so a fair bit cheaper than list price and as far as I can see, it was as good as new.

Another Bose fan here. Sound quality is superb.

Also take a look at the Ruark range the R4 if you really need an integrated CD certainly not cheap But we have both an R1 and R2 very impressed even if most of my listening is R4 and R5L

Hi TF, before you buy a bose system visit either Richer Sounds or Audio  T or any other audio specialists if there are any in your area. Take some of your favourite CD's and listen to various bits of equipment, seperate amps/tuners and speakers make all the differanse imho,

One in house like Ians, but with DAB. Also in car, standard fit by a Nissan.
