The granny's favourite " the Great British Bakeoff" will no longer be broadcast by the BBC soon.

It is alleged to be going to Channel 4. But possibly without the usual presenters. Berry, Hollywood.Perkins and Giedroyc.

You might ask -- Who Cares ?, but as it is a programme liked by my wife - I do.

Although the programme is not my scene, I can see it's attraction for females.

Once again the BBC would appear to be discriminating against programmes for women. .

What do our female posters think ?.

I shan't miss it, never watched a single programe, a bit like watching paint dry in my eyes. Won't be watching on channel 4 either.

I'm not a fan of cookery programes at all HD, don't think I have ever watched Masterchef either. I have seen enough of it on news programes or adverts to know it isn't for me.

I simply can't see any entertainment value in watching someone bake a cake. PD said it's like watching paint dry but I'll take the paint in preference to a cooking program any day.

It's not just a cookery show - it doesn't instruct you how to bake etc (like Delia Smith etc). It's an entertainment program and I love it the way it is now. But nothing lasts forever. Maybe better to go out on a high.

It's good we all have differences , if I come across a program that's not for me I just use the remote and find something that is to my likingHappy

Same here, Husky.

Although watching cake baking does nothing for me it's obviously popular with a lot of people.
