The granny's favourite " the Great British Bakeoff" will no longer be broadcast by the BBC soon.

It is alleged to be going to Channel 4. But possibly without the usual presenters. Berry, Hollywood.Perkins and Giedroyc.

You might ask -- Who Cares ?, but as it is a programme liked by my wife - I do.

Although the programme is not my scene, I can see it's attraction for females.

Once again the BBC would appear to be discriminating against programmes for women. .

What do our female posters think ?.

Tithe beeb have at last decided at last that they will not be held to ransom with our money, i fell a "bit" sorry for people who watch programmes who try it on then go elsewhere but the majority never seem to be as good afterwards, just look at the two who tried it with the one show (what was their names)

Doesn't bother me at all , I have watched the odd show but I'm sick to death of cooking programs / antique shows as well as the continued repeats, as for Mel & sue there choice

I cant believe the beeb has not taken this chance to waste more of the licence payers money after all the cost has never stopped them in the past from squandering the cash.

It's a sign of the new more realistic times at the BBC. I saw a report which said that they'd offered the production company £15 million, roughly double what they paid for this series. But the company wouldn't settle for any less than £25 million. Same story with The Voice I guess.

It could be said that it's not before time at the Beeb but I think we may well see more companies launching shows like this on the BBC and then flogging them off to the highest bidder if they become successful. At least on C4 this one can still be watched by those of us who refuse to make Mssrs Murdoch & Branson even wealthier!

Write your comments here...I believe that the Sky own 70% of the production company.

Cooking with antique kitchenware in a walled vegetable garden while G Lineker and co give an after meal analysis.  Don't laugh, it WILL happen.

Apart from losing international cricket coverage, first to C4 and then to non terrestial channels, and selected England RU internationals, amongst others, you need to check your facts

I shan't miss it, never watched a single programe, a bit like watching paint dry in my eyes. Won't be watching on channel 4 either.
