When is a rule not a rule?

Just got back from Cromer Seacroft site where there are two notices at the entry stating “Sorry no arrivals before 1.00pm”. However on at least two occasions we witnessed people, not only arriving before 1.00pm but being booked in and allowed on site, why do I bother timing my journeys and / or stopping in lay-bys to ensure I arrive after the advertised time when the rule is so blatantly ignored by others (including the wardens who allow it to happen)? 🀬

The CC don’t help matters, if as in the case of past changes from 12 / 13:00 they are still sending out the wrong information in the enjoy your holiday email. In our case it was a site we had booked 12 months before and the time had changed some 9 months before arrival, yet the email received a week before still had arrive from 12:00. Unfortunately this club, as it has demonstrated on multiple occasions, doesn’t score highly when it comes to consistency  of information.

Did you not read the warden's post of 20:38 yesterday which explains many booking confirmations still show 1200?

Booking confirmations do not highlight or even mention the earaliest arrival time unless there are access difficulties.

Probably the best thing to do is get rid of all the rules ,that way no one can get upset if no rules are broken cool

There is some merit in that, the Club has a rather obsessive approach to rules, signs & regulations. Most other campsite seems to cope with a more relaxed approach. Best of both worlds for the ‘chill mob’ and angry rule lovers alike? Why not try it and see what happens, I bet it won’t end civilisation as we know it.

+1, the problem is-most folk who regularly bad mouth C&MC & suggest ‘the other club’ is better are current members & will continue being members yet will also continue stating how bad C&MC areπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Tip-never take advice from folk who don’t take their own advice. . .FactπŸ‘πŸ»

Easter Monday, three units pitching up at 12.10pm and another four queuing up at reception? Seems a lot of people get dispensation???

What about people who've been in late arrivals overnight? Could they be amongst those presumed to be early? smile

What actually makes the World go around is-the Sun attracts the Earth which then pulls our planet towards it, also because of Earths revolutions around the Sun it tends to move away from it hence the rotational force, that’s torque which acts on Earth. Result-‘it makes the World go around’πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜Š, happy to help.

Are you sure PD? they do on mine, first is the email booking confirmation and the second is the follow up reminder nearer the time.
