Good news, the site is going to be redeveloped next year. I belive there will be 50 hardstandings and some service pitches plus new toilet blocks. A welco.e improvement which is long overdue.

It will be somewhere we will stay when this is complete & am sure it will most likely become a much more popular site due to its location to the historic town & motorway.  I guess designers/planners will have taken the possible flooding into account for the buildings/layout & materials etc to be used.

At York they have to clean all the gravel after each flood (as it gets full of silt) and pressure wash all the roads etc. Costs a fortune, apparently and I guess they will have to do the same here.

But this cannot be helped and it's worth it for sites in good locations.
