Exciting News! At Wyatts Covert Club Campsite we’re trialling Smart Metering, which means you will only pay for the amount of electricity you use during your stay.

The price quoted for bookings at this campsite excludes electricity (with campsite fees reduced accordingly) and we will only charge you for the precise amount of electricity you use during your stay.

This is something many members have been asking for and we’re really pleased to be able to trial it this year! Find out more at https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/smartmetering/

£221.16 for 2 people 4 nights seems rather expensive £55.29 a night

As I said elsewhere good VFM is still available.  About two weeks ago we were on a lovely site on the Devon Cornwall border.

On arrival the manager showed us the full service. pitch and laughed when I asked if it was okay to pitch to the left to suit our RH door MH. His comment was we don't have pegs you can pitch any way you wish, please try to stay on the gravel but park your car on the grass finger if you want.

The lovely facilities include large individual bathrooms, nice and warm.  The site is truly mixed.  Tiny tents, with cars, vans large and small, and motor bikes to large c/vans and MH's. Even a German estate car with a Thule roof tent.

A useful shop with staples and treats.

There was a range of pitch types, and choice of on pitch facilities from none to full service.  Our full service pitch, including 16A EHU cost a modest £23.60 per night for two people.  I believe that at the dates mentioned it would be £25.20.

Incidentally, I forgot to mention that the price includes free good quality WiFi.

It’s a long way from Wembley, though, for the FA Cup final 🙂.
Which is why we are booked for Denham end of May / early June. 🙂.

Pliers - By expensive I mean I think you're being overcharged, look at the advertised prices now they do not add up to what you're being charged.

And as I said "elsewhere" wouldn't it be great (and in the true spirit of the forum) if you let fellow members know what the name of that excellent site is - you can use the "small private sites" thread to do that, you know! wink

Don’t forget dynamic pricing can mean prices are constantly changing.

How do you know it's small?

I think folk have used that thread title quite flexibly,  David (don't suppose you'll have looked at it though). I suggest DD names it, since it's obviously an excellent site - if it's not "small" it can just be added to this thread - helping fellow members is one of the great strengths of this forum isn't it?
